1.Their bond

Authors pov:

The golden morning rays gently seep through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the cozy room. On the bed, a girl sleeps soundly, her face peaceful, her chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. The warmth of the sun kisses her cheek, making her stir ever so slightly, but she remains lost in her dreams, wrapped in the comfort of her blankets.

In the depths of her dreamland, a faint voice reaches her, distant yet persistent, calling her name. It drifts through the haze of sleep, nudging her towards wakefulness. But she is too lost in her dreams, wrapped in their warmth like a cocoon. The voice tugs at her consciousness, but she burrows deeper into her slumber, unwilling to leave the sweet embrace of sleep.

Suddenly, a sharp wave of coldness jolts her from her dreams. Her body shivers as icy droplets cling to her skin. Gasping for air, her eyes flutter open in shock. For a moment, she is disoriented, her heart pounding. And then it hits her-someone has splashed cold water on her face to wake her from her deep slumber!

Blinking away the water, she looked up, and the moment her eyes landed on the culprit, her expression shifted from shock to pure fury. Without a second thought, she grabbed the nearest pillow and hurled it straight at him.

"You're dead!" she shouted, jumping out of bed and chasing after him. The room echoed with laughter and her determined footsteps as she ran behind him, ready to make him pay for disturbing her precious sleep.

"Rukja saale Tereko toh main aaj chhodungi nahi....tumhaari himmat kaisi huyi mujpar paani daalne ka...beta aaj toh tu gaya" she yelled, dodging the furniture as she chased him through the house.

He laughed, effortlessly staying ahead, his dimples flashing as he glanced back at her. "Well, someone had to wake you up, Sleeping Beauty!" he teased.

"You're so dead!" she shrieked, grabbing a cushion and launching it at him. But he was quick, dodging it with ease, making her even angrier. The chase continued, their playful chaos filling the air, a routine that had always been theirs.

As their playful chase continued, her already messy room turned into a complete disaster-pillows on the floor, the blanket tossed aside, and water droplets everywhere. Just as she was about to grab another cushion to throw, a sharp voice echoed through the room.

"What is going on here?!"

They both froze in place, turning slowly to see none other than her mother standing at the door, arms crossed, eyes filled with disapproval. Her anger was unmistakable as she took in the chaotic scene.

Her mother sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Look at this mess! Is this how you behave first thing in the morning?"

The girl gulped, glancing at the culprit who had started it all. But before she could say anything, her mother's stern gaze locked onto her. "Clean. This. Up. Right now!"

She pouted, shooting a glare at the one who caused all this trouble. But deep inside, she knew there was no escape from her mother's wrath. After cleaning the mess in her room, she turned to her best friend who is none other than her childhood buddy Mr.Neil singh shekhawat, who was ignoring her glare seeing the ground very interesting as it was a piece of art....

"Kya kar raha hai tu yahan pe....aur kisne teko mere room mey aane ki permission dhi thhi" she asked with her arm crossed glaring at him.

He smirked, casually leaning against the wall like he hadn't just turned her morning into chaos. "Oh, madam ye toh mera kaam hai..aur dekho maine Kitna bada kaam kiya hai ek bandariya ko utane ka jo utne ko taiyaar nahi hai"

Her eyes widened in outrage. "Excuse me?! Kya bola tumne main bandariya hoon...tu na pehle jaakar apne aankhe check karwa ke aaja teeke, meri jaisi khubsurat ladki koi nahi ho sakthi samjha tu" she told flipping her hair with attitude to which her friend was very much aware as he was watching this drama of her for many years.

"Aur haan bandhar hoga tu aur tera bhai" she added to which he got furious because she mentioned his brother as Monkey.

"Abey oye madam mujhe kuch bhi bolde apne bhaii beechme math lana agar karegi toh".....he trailed off his words.

"Toh" she asked raising her eyebrows with curiosity.

"Toh phir main bhi tera bhaii ko launga beechme samjhi...main kisi se ny dartha....chal moti" he smirked and said confidently making fun of her chubbiness to annoy her..

Her eyes widened in outrage. "Excuse me?!" She picked up a pillow again, ready to strike.

He chuckled, raising his hands in surrender. "Relax! Your mom asked me to wake you up. And, well... I figured cold water would do the job best."

She gasped. "You-"

Before she could finish, her mother's voice interrupted again. "Enough! Both of you and get ready you both are getting late for your school" with that she went out of her room leaving them alone in thoughts..

After some time she got ready for her and he was already ready when he came to her house so they both decided to go to school together...

During breakfast her father (Yuvraj singh) asked her to behave on school and giving advice to her to get good marks for good future to which she is getting annoyed on daily dose from her father on same dialogue but she got angry on seeing her friend Neil controlling the laugh after seeing her annoying face...

After breakfast, they headed to school together, as always. The moment they stepped inside, she immediately ran off to join her girl besties, while he casually strolled towards his group of friends.

The day had just begun, but there was a different kind of seriousness in the air. Their final board exams were approaching, marking the end of their school journey. The classrooms were quieter than usual, every student deeply focused on the teacher's lesson, scribbling down notes and absorbing every word.

Even the most playful ones, including her, knew that this was an important phase in their lives. College was just around the corner-a new chapter waiting to unfold. But for now, they had to push through these last few months, balancing studies, friendships, and the bittersweet feeling of leaving behind the place that had been their second home for years.

As the final bell rang, she strolled through the school corridor, lost in her own thoughts. Just then, she suddenly bumped into someone-hard. But something felt off. It wasn't just an accident; it was intentional.

When she looked up and saw who it was, her anger flared instantly. It was that guy from another class, the one who always flirted with girls with bad intentions. Her hands clenched into fists, ready to give him a piece of her mind.

But before she could say a word, someone else moved faster.

A strong grip caught the guy's collar, shoving him roughly against the wall. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw the fierce glare of the person who had stepped in.

It was him.

Her best friend.

Neil....

His jaw was clenched, his usual calm demeanor replaced with pure fury. "Stay in your limits," he growled, his voice dangerously low. "Don't you dare try anything with her."

The guy stammered, clearly intimidated, nodding rapidly in fear.

She stood frozen for a moment, staring at her best friend. He had always been protective, but this was something else.

His grip on the guy's collar loosened, and with one final warning glance, he let go. As the guy scurried away, she finally found her voice.

"Tum..." she started, looking at him in shock. "Tune kyu maara use main maarthi na...achhe se class lagati uski tune kharaab kardiya yaar"

He turned to her, his usual teasing smirk returning. "Haan haan pata hai meri maa tu sherni tu ladsakthi hai...lekin jab thak main hoon tu bas aaram kar main hoon na main sambhalunga tujse badkar mereliye kya hai ..huh..."

Her heart skipped a beat, but she quickly covered it up with a playful scoff. "You're so dramatic."

He chuckled. "Only for you."

She rolled her eyes, but deep inside, she couldn't help but smile because she knows he meant everything in a friendly way not more than that..
